Enter the chamber
Match the chamber to the lower canal, lift the lower gate and bring the boat inside.
Build & navigate
Raise and lower the water in a lock chamber to move a boat between canal levels.

Design concept shown in a fixed pose. The 3D view explores the form; effects and mechanisms are illustrative.
FROM ACTION TO DISCOVERY
Match the chamber to the lower canal, lift the lower gate and bring the boat inside.
Close the gate, then admit water to raise the chamber and its floating boat.
When the chamber matches the upper canal, open the upper gate and move the boat onward.
A CLOSER LOOK
Explore the arrangement of two lift gates, orange handles, a single lock chamber and high and low canal reaches.
LEARNING THROUGH PLAY
This concept brings water levels, canal engineering and sequencing into a shared water-table setting. Visitors can explore the idea at their own pace and compare what they notice with a partner.
A floating boat rises with the water beneath it.
Gates separate connected waterways so their levels can be controlled.
A successful crossing depends on doing the steps in the right order.
PART OF A BIGGER WATER TABLE
Connect the canal ends to appropriate table levels. Keep both gate handles and level controls reachable, and develop gate seals and water supply together.
The arrangement can be developed for a museum, science centre or play space as part of a custom water table. Final dimensions, materials and operating performance are established during design and engineering.
