Choose a drum
Match a coloured button to its instrument.
Sound & sensory play
Press colour-matched buttons to activate strikers inside five clear drum shells.

Load the 3D model to rotate and zoom. Approx. 2.7 MB.
Design concept shown in a fixed pose. The 3D view explores the form; effects and mechanisms are illustrative.
FROM ACTION TO DISCOVERY
Match a coloured button to its instrument.
The water-actuated mechanism is intended to move a soft striker against the drum membrane.
Alternate controls or play together to create a repeating sequence.
A CLOSER LOOK
Explore the arrangement of five clear drum shells with internal strikers, tension rods and colour-matched buttons.
LEARNING THROUGH PLAY
This concept brings rhythm, vibration and sequences into a shared water-table setting. Visitors can explore the idea at their own pace and compare what they notice with a partner.
A struck membrane provides a starting point for exploring how a drum makes sound.
A repeated order of button presses creates a recognisable pattern.
Visitors can listen, respond and take turns within a shared rhythm.
PART OF A BIGGER WATER TABLE
Arrange the controls along the table rim. Develop actuator behaviour, membrane tuning and sound levels through prototyping while retaining a view of the strikers.
The arrangement can be developed for a museum, science centre or play space as part of a custom water table. Final dimensions, materials and operating performance are established during design and engineering.
